I started this book, unsure of what to expect. It was surprisingly good. It held my interest and had me reading long after I planned to stop for the evening. It is a book that kept me riveted. The author developed language and concepts which present a whole world of fascinating and engaging characters. I especially like the way various sub-stories are woven in to the main story - making a fully developed world. I hope book 2 will be out soon, because I wanted to start it immediately after completing this one. A fine work. A T

Spring, MD Greetings Ms. Sarai, I started reading fantasy fiction at a young age and have always loved the genre. It provided an inexpensive escape to fantastical lands where adventure, exotic animals, new languages, and beautiful and heroic people were the norm. I am happy to find that "Choosing Deceit" provides all of this plus and doesn't disappoint. I love the dark-skinned hero and heroines, with Lae and Shila being two of my favorites and the complimentary descriptions used to describe the characters features. Much better than just "dark or light", or the bland and typical descriptions of "chocolate, yellow, red, or plain brown" that I have seen in most books with darker folks. Thank you!! I I also am impressed with the fact that you have very strong female characters represented (love Shila) and hope to see more of her in future books. I know that this is only book one, but hopefully you will write a wholly detailed backstory of Dun-sir one day. He's fascinating! This is a great story and has the makings of being a blockbuster movie. I can't wait for Book II! Will you be participating in any book events / readings soon?
